I had a vacant home for which I needed to find a tenant. I found that the agents charged an exorbitant commission for this service. Therefore, I decided to find a tenant for my home on my own. I was having difficulties finding a tenant. This is when my friend suggested renting my property online.
To rent my property online:
- I had to price it accurately.
- I had to list it on an authentic site by uploading its description and photographs.
- Potential tenants will view it and connect with me.
- I would have to arrange viewings of the property.
- Negotiate with the tenant for the rental.
- Draw up the contract.
- Close the deal.
This was a simple process. I was quite excited to rent my property online. This would mean that I could do it without involving an agent. This implied that I would not have to pay a commission! I would only stand to gain!
Then I started looking for a suitable website to list my home. There were numerous online property listing portals which made it confusing for me to choose one.
I started going through the details of various property listing websites and one of them stood out, “Minus the Agent.”
This site had a simple process for listing:
- I only had to select a package from the various options of packages they offered.
- After that, I had to list my property by uploading photographs and details of the property.
- This site would share the listing on other leading property listing sites such as domain.com.au, realestate.com.au, etc. They would also share it on social media sites.
- The listing would stay on their site until the property was rented.
- I had to pay only once for the package. There were no hidden charges or additional costs!
- I listed my home on Minus the Agent to rent my property online!
